Flutist, composer, producer, educator, and business owner, Andrea Brachfeld, is a graduate of the Manhattan School of Music. She has recorded nine CDs as a leader, covering styles from Latin Jazz to Charanga Jazz to Jazz and devotional music. She currently tours with her own group, Andrea Brachfeld and Insight and ACE- the Afro-Caribbean Ensemble. In June 2017, the Andrea Brachfeld Quartet was awarded a CMA New Jazz Works grant and created If Not Now, When. She is currently working on her new CD, “Brazilian Whispers,” which will be released in 2020. Her article, “The Art of Practicing and Self Esteem,” was published in the May 2019 issue of DownBeat magazine.
