Heath Marlow, chair of the Center for Professional Development and Performing Arts Leadership at New England Conservatory, previously directed NEC’s Sistema Fellows Program and Sistema Fellowship Resource Center. In addition to supporting the leadership and career development of the Sistema Fellows, Marlow provided guidance to numerous musicians and music-based initiatives, including musiConnects, Music Haven, Newport String Project, Avaloch Farm Music Institute, Guitars in the Classroom, and the Rhode Island Fiddle Project, among many others. A cellist and avid chamber musician, he was part of the founding group of musicians that established Community MusicWorks in Providence, RI, where he performed multiple roles, including teaching artist, artistic program administrator, director of development, and managing director.
