Javier J. Hernandez Acosta is Assistant Professor and Director of the Business Department at Universidad del Sagrado Corazón in Puerto Rico; founder of Inversión Cultural, a non-profit organization that supports creative industries; and author of the book, Emprendimiento Creativo. A self-taught percussionist, Javier has collaborated with artists such as Antonio “El Topo” Cabán Vale, Roy Brown, Kany García, Tito Auger, and Zoraida Santiago, among others. He served as Executive Director of Taller Cé, a co-operative of singer-songwriters in Puerto Rico and was Cultural Advisor of the Commission for Cultural Development (CODECU). From 2014-2018, he was a member of the Advisory Council for the Creative Industries in Puerto Rico.
