Borromeo String Quartet

Nicholas Kitchen is first violinist of the Borromeo String Quartet, Faculty Quartet-in-Residence at the New England Conservatory of Music. Kitchen has performed at Carnegie Hall, The Berlin Philharmonie, The Dvorak Hall in Prague, Wigmore Hall in London, Suntory Hall in Tokyo, and the Seoul Arts Center in Korea, among many other prestigious venues. He has also worked extensively with the Chamber Music Society of Lincoln Center and National Public Radio, and has lectured for the Beethoven Institute at Boston University, the ProQuartet in Paris, the Basel Conservatory, and The Juilliard School. The Borromeo Quartet was the winner of the Young Concert Artists Auditions, The Evian International String Quartet Competition, Chamber Music America’s Cleveland Quartet Award, Lincoln Center’s Martin E. Segal Award, and the Avery Fisher Career Grant.
