Biography
The Lysander Piano Trio has built a reputation for combining fresh interpretations of beloved masterworks with a passion for new music and hidden gems of the repertoire. The Trio has performed across the continent at top venues including Carnegie Hall, National Sawdust, The Kennedy Center, Atlanta’s Spivey Hall, UCLA’S Clark Memorial Library, San Francisco’s Kohl Mansion, and university series at the Krannert Center, Middlebury College, and Purdue University. The Trio has also appeared at festivals such as Bard, Chautauqua, Copenhagen, and Mostly Mozart. The Lysander has a deep commitment to working with living composers. Beyond the world premiere recordings featured on its 2020 album Mirrors, the ensemble is currently offering a new program with bandoneonist and composer JP Jofre. Formed at Juilliard in 2009, the Lysander received top honors at chamber competitions including the Fischoff, Coleman, and CAG Victor Elmaleh Competition. They joined the Dinin Arts roster in 2020.
