With over 40 seasons of concerts in New York City, the Sylvan Winds have appeared under the auspices of Carnegie Hall, Lincoln Center’s Mostly Mozart Festival, and the Caramoor International Music Festival. Invited to perform for the Governor’s Arts Awards at the Metropolitan Museum of Art, they have also appeared on the Cutting Edge and Composers Concordance concert series, and have performed at Town Hall, Merkin Concert Hall, and Symphony Space. Nationally, the ensemble has performed at the Cape Cod, Killington, Skaneateles, and White Mountains Music Festivals, as well as Amherst College, the Chicago Chamber Music Society, and the Sejong Cultural Center in Seoul, Korea. Their performances can be heard on radio stations WQXR, WNYC, Boston’s WGBH, Minnesota Public Radio, and National Public Radio’sPerformance Today. They have recorded four CDs for the Koch Classics, Albany, CRI/New World, and North/South labels. The Sylvan Winds have also received grants from the NEA, Chamber Music America, NYSCA, and NewMusicUSA.
