Our ensembles and soloists are meeting the challenges of the world’s changing landscape with innovative livestream, recorded, and hybrid events, including feature-length cinematic programming. We are supporting their creative journey through the pandemic era, and we remain a strong collaborator for the Chamber Music America community and beyond.
Our 43rd season embraces change and constancy together. The Fry Street Quartet’s new full-length film Rising Tide: The Crossroads Project is a cinematic exploration of the most important issue of our time and features the exceptional composition commissioned from acclaimed composer Laura Kaminsky. Rituals, the new film from collectif9 is a resonant event including dance and creative visuals “If you love meaningful instrumental music that both upsets your listening habits and gives you goosebumps, you absolutely must hear them” noted panm360. The Dali Quartet is celebrating its new Delos label CD featuring piano quintets with Olga Kern. The Weiss-Kaplan-Stumpf Trio is celebrating its new Bridge label CD set of Beethoven’s piano trios. Nordic Voices and the New Zealand Quartet are performing for live audiences in their home countries and looking forward to the time they can return to North America. New films from each will be forthcoming. Meanwhile, we honor the legacy of our founder, Kenneth Wentworth (1927-2020). And are reminded that Jonathan Wentworth Associates is located respectfully on the traditional lands of the Piscataway Peoples and the Piscataway-Conoy Peoples, past and present. We honor with gratitude the land itself and the people who have stewarded it throughout the generations.
